Modern Fan Company's Ball fan was recently featured on an episode of ABC's hit show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

The Tate Family, of Tampa, FL, was in need of help. A tragic accident left the family scarred and their homestead in ruin. Answering the call for help, Ty Pennington, the Extreme Makeover Home Edition team, and donating partners like The Modern Fan Company, rallied together to rebuild the Tate family's hopes and home.

The Modern Fan Company's products lend themselves well to the Extreme Makeover Home Edition's designs and concepts. Always cutting edge, sophisticated and contemporary, the Ball fan found a place in two separate rooms in the Tate family's brand new home, seen below.

One room features a modern black and white diamond wall scheme. A dream come true for most young boys, this "skate board" room prominently features a fantastic drum set, which the Brushed Aluminum Ball fan accents beautifully.

The other room features a camouflage pattern in the shape of alligators, a tribute to the oldest son's military service and the University of Miami Florida Gators. This camo and orange room is wild and edgy, demonstrating the Ball fan's versatility to accommodate virtually any design scheme.

It has been our pleasure to be involved in such a endeavor to aid good people in need. We feel we have helped a wonderful dream become a reality for a very deserving family. We join Ty in saying as he does so proudly at the end of every show, "Welcome home Tate Family, welcome home."

About the Tate family:

"Tom and Cynthia Tate are well known in their tight knit community of Davis Island. Tom is the co-owner of Tate Brothers' Pizza and is responsible for giving most of the kids in town their first jobs, while Cynthia is extremely involved with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the PTA. The Tate Brothers are involved with almost every volunteer or charity event around Davis Island, and it's been said that many of the island kids have grown up in the Tate house. In that respect, June 12, 2006 was a rare day when the house was not filled with neighborhood kids. Out of the entire Tate family, only Cynthia was at home when a plane crashed into the house. The pilot was killed, along with the family pets, and the co-pilot was badly burned but survived. Cynthia miraculously escaped without any injuries, while the house and everything inside it was destroyed. To make matters worse, because of a clerical error, the home was not insured, so the Tates are unable to pay off the existing mortgage, let alone rebuild their home. " - ABC.com

About Extreme Makeover Home Edition:

"Put together one very run-down house, a deserving family, several opinionated designers, seven days and what do you get? The answer is - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Each episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house -- every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping.

The lives of the lucky families are forever changed when they learn that they have been selected to have their home walls moved, their floors replaced and even their facades radically changed. The result should be a decorator's delight if it can be done in time.

Each episode begins with team leader Ty Pennington's now-famous "Good morning!" wake-up call, when he, along with the other designers, surprises the unsuspecting family with news that their home has been chosen to receive a makeover. Then viewers witness not only the unbelievable transformation of the house, but during the final and emotional reveal, they see how the home makeover has impacted the lives of the deserving families." - ABC.com
